Aquaria KLCC

We visited Aquaria KLCC awhile ago, it is a full scale aquarium located within the walls of the tallest building in Malaysia. The MyKad admission rate for adults is RM40 and without MyKad is RM 53. The aquarium is open daily from 10.30am to 8pm. The overall experience was pretty interesting, with many big tanks and creatures even myself have never seen before. We took more videos than pictures since it was quiet dark there.

A massive fish swimming by!

Some of the creatures there include water rats, giant pacific octopi, piranhas, sea turtles, sharks, otters, giant groupers, venomous stonefish and pinecones,  electric eels, giant stingrays and many more. Most of these creatures are flown from around the world as only a few of them originate from Malaysia. The tanks on the other hand, are specially designed to replicate the animal's natural habitats as closely as possible. The area is divided into a few zones, with the most captivating zone in my opinion, the Oceanarium, which is basically a 90m underwater tunnel in which visitors can just stand on a travelator that will take them through the tunnel enjoying the open display of sea life. There is also a Touch Pool where visitors can physically interact with horseshoe crabs, bamboo sharks and horned sea starfish.

Oh, visitors can even sign up for a once in a lifetime unique experience that Aquaria KLCC offers, which is diving with sharks for RM424, but the conditions are that you must be a certified diver.

Though we missed the otter feeding session that we were looking forward to, overall it was still an amazing experience. We highly recommend everyone to visit this place at least once, and bring your kids along, they will LOVE it!
