Pet Fiesta at Setia City Convention Center

The is the summary of my experience at Pet Fiesta. This was my first time going to such a big dog event where I can have a view of different breed of dogs and also the price tag for the dogs during the event.

This is called Tibetan Mastiff as you can see the size of  it is massive.

In this picture the true size of the dog comparing with his caretaker.

Tibetan Mastiff  can weight around 64-78 kg that is around 140-170 pounds and its height can be around 61-71cm.
This the way the caretaker transport him back when he is very tired.

Origin
The origin of Tibetan Mastiff is descended from the famous Tibetan dogs that were the source of the majority of Molossers and mastiffs throughtout the world. Tibetan Mastiff may have been in existence as early as 1100 BC.
Temperament
The temperament of a Tibetan Mastiff is courageous, fearless, calm and thoughful. They are very loyal to its own family. Tibetan Mastiff needs a firm, cinfudent, consistent pack leader to prevent it from becoming willful and stubborn, overprotective and territorial. However, if you have this kind of characteristic they can be very loving to their owners. They also love kids, but can distrust and be reserved with strangers if not properly socialized.
By nature Tibetan Mastiff is a guard dog that guard its family and their property.

Tibetan Mastiff has a few health issues that are hip dysplasia, thyroid problems, skin conditions and ear infections. They also have a genetic problem called Canine Inherited Denyelinative Neuropathy (CIDN), which is fatal.
Living Conditions
They can live in an apartment life 'IF' it is very well exerccised. This is becasue these dogs are not very active indoors.
Grooming
They should be brushed regularly. In the winter the coat has an abundance of very thick hair, which sheds once a year for the duration of a month, when the weather gets warmer. They are also good allergy sufferers.

This breed called Chinese Shar-Pei the name means "sand skin"

This was my first encounter of this breed in Malaysia
Origin
Chinese Shar-pei originated in the southern provinces of China where he was value as a hunter, herder, guardian, and fighter. Statues that resembles Shar-Pei have been dated to the Han Dynasty(200 B.C.), though these statues also resemble the Chow and Pug breed.
Personality
Shar-Pei is an alert and independent dog. He is extremely devoted to its owner's family, but aloof with people that he does not know. Shar-Pei is said to enjoy the companionship of people more than dogs, and that he likes to be with his owner all the time. A very calm and confident dog and seems to develop an intuitive understanding of his owner or family. They are also very protective to his family making them an excellent guard dog.
Health Problems
Shar-Pei are prone to certain health conditions, especially skin condition. But not all Shar-Peis will get any or all of these diseases, but it is important to be aware of them if your're considering having this breed. These are the few type of health problems Shar-Pei fever, hypothyroidiam, cancer, elbow dysplasia, demodectic mange, seborrhea, pyoderma, patellar luxation, osteochondrosis dissecans (OCD), custaneous mucinosis, glaucome, and entropion.
Size
Males and females can stand 18 to 20 inches (45-50 cm) tall and weigh 40 to 55 punds ( 18-25 Kg).
Living Conditons
Shar-Pei can live comfortably in the city or country. They also do well in a limited space, such as an apartment or condo, as long as they get daily exercise.
Grooming
While Shar-Pei  is a naturally clean dog with very little odor, and they only need a little grooming to keep them looking good. a thorough brushing once a week with a rubber curry or grooming mitt is sufficient to remove dead hari and dirt. They don't need to be bathed a lot about every 12 weeks if he or she hasn't been rolling in the mud. This is because frequent baths tendd to irritate their skin.
Life Span
About 8 to 12 years
